This paper presents a radiometry model intended for the design and analysis of a SWIR imaging sensor that is expanded to included night-time scenarios and laser see-spot range performance. The model is also adapted for input variable compliance with the industry standard NV-IPM range performance model, thereby enabling cross-correlation between the range performance predictions of the two models’ results.

KEYWORDS: Target detection, Staring arrays, Infrared imaging, Imaging systems, Sensors, Optical resolution, Infrared radiation, Panoramic photography, Eye models, NVThermIP. Read Abstract +. Panoramic imagers are becoming more commonplace in the visible part of the spectrum. These imagers are often used in the real estate market, extreme sports, teleconferencing, and security applications. Infrared panoramic imagers, on the other hand, are not as common and only a few have been demonstrated.

Proceedings of spie .

Volume 7300 Proceedings of SPIE, 0277-786X, v. 7300 SPIE is an international society advancing an interdisciplinary approach to the science and application of light. Paper Numbering: Proceedings of SPIE follow an e-First publication model, with papers published first online and then in print and on CD-ROM. Papers are published as they are submitted and meet publication criteria.

Proceedings volume 3701. Aerosense '99 5-9 april 1999. 7 Sessions, 26 Papers, 0 Presentations. SPIE 3701, Infrared Imaging Systems: Design, Analysis, Modeling, and Testing X, pg 61 (12 July 1999); doi: 1. 117/12. The sampling limitations associated with staring array imagers cause an aliased signal, or spurious response, that corrupts the image.
