Time was, with most of us, when Christmas Day encircling all our limited world like a magic ring, left nothing out for . This is the third book in Charles Dickens’s series of five Christmas novels. The story is about a cricket who serves as a guardian angel to a young family.

Time was, with most of us, when Christmas Day encircling all our limited world like a magic ring, left nothing out for us to miss or seek; bound together all our home enjoyments, affections, and hopes; grouped everything and everyone around the Christmas fire; and made the little picture shining in our bright young eyes, complete. In this essay, Charles Dickens discusses what we need to remember about Christmas time as we grow older. 22 The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Christmas is near, a time for presents, Santa and reindeer. Only in 2011, the year I turned 29, was my passion reawakened from its deep slumber when my dad found the stories I had written as a child. So more than 20 year later I rewrote the stories with the aim to preserve it, but as I typed, the stories evolved and new ideas were sparked.

This is nice book for young children. I think that rhymes keep the interest of especially very young children who are beginning their adventures in reading. JJ

My daughter received this book when she was just about to turn 1. She loved looking at all the brightly colored pictures and could easily identify objects when asked. Now that she is 15 months, she can turn the wheel herself and is starting to choose the right items for each page. I highly recommend this book because it isn't battery-powered or full of bells and whistles - just basic reading fun!
