For anyone who's ever cringed when your little darling put a booger in his (or her) mouth, get a grip. You've been there yourself. Think about it. You can still remember the salty, tuna-like taste of the slimy morsels.

I've laughed out loud reading this gem but it's a reach for me to see the God connection. I'm a firm believer in being thankful for the little things and this is a cute way to get that across, but I wouldn't have given the God-ness too much thought had it not been specifically pointed out. I would have enjoyed the book immensely, though, either way.

Oftentimes it's the illustrations that make a book and it's a close one with Boogers Are Blessings. I could be just as tickled to look at Bill Ross's visual, often tinged with green pictures without any words, or vice versa - to read the story and let my imagination do the rest. I have a feeling the antics of the little Boogernator will give many kids ideas if they haven't already gone digging for gold.

I am completely taken by this delightful book. For bedtime, for bathtime, for cuddle time, for anytime, Boogers Are Blessings is superb. I can't wait to get my 3 1/2-year-old grandson's reaction. He might want a snack while we read.

This book really helped me on my spiritual journey to develop a deep, personal relationship with God. Now I understand the special role that boogers play in His divine plan.

I highly recommended using this book in Bible study groups or for spreading the good word to the unconverted.
