My husband died when my children were 2 and 3 years old. This book was fantastic. The children loved me reading it to them and we talked about it alot. I bought this book for my four year old son when his Aunty died. It was really informative and explained everything in a practical child friendly way.

Althea Braithwaite broke new ground in the 70s with her Dinosaur Books imprint. Most of them, written and illustrated by her, sought to illuminate situations and experiences to younger children, based on her own experience as a mother keen to prepare her child for such events as a visit to the dentist, or to help explore such subjects as the death of a relative. In Dyslexia, six children explain the different implications of the condition, including the dismissive and thoughtless labelling that has preceded their diagnosis.
