Vatican Council II, Vol. Vatican Council II, Vol. 1: The Conciliar and Postconciliar Documents. It's what I wanted, to help with my studies in theology. Published on May 22, 2013.

Instead I got both 'Volume 1-Conciliar and Post Conciliar Documents' and 'Volume 2-More Post Conciliar Documents' of Flannery's 'Vatican Council II' set. I loved and appreciated the changes made. And the documents are very, very easy to read and understand. I bought my friend a set as a gift. He thanks me to this day. Every Catholic (and priest) should have these books on there shelves next to their Bible and New Catechism and read them as a regular daily regimen.

This collection of conciliar and post-conciliar documents of Vatican II certain contains a wealth of valuable information. At other times, things were repetitive, as certain documents referenced others in the book. This is due to the separation they have temporally in how they were written, and should not be seen as a negative aspect of the documents themselves. I encourage all the Catholic faithful and those who want a deeper understanding of the This collection of conciliar and post-conciliar documents of Vatican II certain contains a wealth.

This is the translation chosen for inclusion in The Catechism of the Catholic Church and the text that both students of the Council and students of the Catechism will want. It contains all sixteen documents of the Second Vatican Council plus the forty-nine later documents from popes and Vatican congregations that implement the details of the Council's decisions.

The Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican, commonly known as the Second Vatican Council or Vatican II, addressed relations between the Catholic Church and the modern world. The council, through the Holy See, was formally opened under the pontificate of Pope John XXIII on 11 October 1962 and was closed under Pope Paul VI on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception on 8 December 1965. Focus questions after each Council document help the reader comprehend the main points. Creative questions assist the reader in applying the content of the Council documents to personal experience or to future development in the Church.

In better condition than I expected. Sufficiently large type and additional content is a nice bonus. This edition makes the conflicts with previous dogmatic pronouncements more obvious than the VII documents by themselves.

Finally, after all these years to sit down and read the texts directly. What a beautiful experience, spiritual, prayerful, powerful.
Unfortunately, the book itself is poorly produced. Enormous amounts of thick cheap newsprint paper. An awkward book size. Print unnecessarily large. To this reader, it looks and feels cheap, which considering the beautiful, important content, I found that disrespectful, from a religious publishing house, Costello and Dominican Publications (yes, the Order of Preachers, the "Dominicans").
And how about a mass market paperback edition?

Arrived very fast and in great condition. Very useful translation. I'm don't believe at all in Catholicism, but this was extremely useful for my research.
