I was looking for a pocket Bible to take on a trip to Israel. I particularly wanted NRSV with Apocrypha. This one got good reviews and was reasonably priced. However, it arrived with a flaw in the NuTone cover, a very small but obvious divot on the front cover. Had it been on the back or less obvious, I might have overlooked it, but it was a noticeable flaw in the otherwise smooth cover. So I returned it and will borrow a friend's Bible for the trip. In addition to the cover flaw, I found the Bible not really to be *that* pocket-sized, being almost the same dimensions and weight as a study Bible I already own. On a positive note, Amazon's easy return policy and UPS picking the parcel up on my doorstep are definite pluses.

At first I didn't think this portable Bible was very readable. A magnifier solves the problem of small print, but as others have noted about these "go anywhere" Bibles, the paper is so thin that text on the other side shows through. If you cut a piece of black paper to size, though, and put it behind the page you're reading, the problem is solved. So this is very usable after all, even for older eyes -- and the size and weight are wonderful.

Not as small as I had thought it would be. Doesn't really carry well in my purse. The cover material hasn't held up well even with minimal use.

As bibles go the NRSV with Apocrypha is great, however, even after 2 returns this book does not include pages 157-183 most of the book of Romans and part of 1Corinthians. This bible was always used as a study bible for me and a "follow along" bible for church, so I didnt catch the missing pages right away. Must just be this publisher.

Negal

This has been a great Bible. It is fairly light-weight and compact, yet at the same time, it doesn't have the tendency to fold shut on you every time you remove your hand from it while it's laying open on the table. I have really enjoyed the NRSV having recently come from the NKJV.

Its weaknesses are the meager references in the back, the small text, and the fact that the Apochrypha is placed between the Old & New Testament; I wanted something that had the books ordered similarly to the Orthodox Study Bible (additions to Esther properly placed among the book of Esther, etc). That said, for it's size, it's really pretty good.

Moralsa

Just what I was looking for. I wanted a small, easy to carry NRSV, and this fits the bill. The translation is good for its literality and its use of language for men and women where the biblical Greek allows. The green and tan leather is attractive.

Mpapa

This bible is a perfect size for anyone's book bag. I like to have a bible with me where ever I go just in case I need some inspiration. Even though the size of the font is small it is not unreadable. Plus its references are great for its compact size.

I've been using this Bible almost daily for several years now and it has held up extremely well. Its been all over with no breaks in the spine or binding. Definately recommend for a smaller Bible.
