Statin Side Effects .

Statins are a class of drugs designed to block the production of cholesterol by the body, with the effect of lowering a patient's blood cholesterol levels. According the modern medical mythology, the use of these drugs ultimately lowers the patient's risk for coronary heart disease. These drugs are dangerous and have very serious side effects. Statin side effects can be worse if they are ingested in conjunction with other substances using the same metabolic pathway in the body. If you are on a statin drug or are thinking of going on a statin, this fully referenced book, Statin Drug Side Effects, is a "must read" for you. The unacceptable legacy of statin drug use at today's high doses is a trail of chronic aches and pains, numbness, weakness, confusion, fatigue, shortness of breath and even heart failure in hordes of unsuspecting victims. Only by knowing this information, and in consultation with your healthcare professional, can you make an informed decision about your health care. If you are a user of Vytorin, Lipitor, Zocor, Crestor, Mevacor, Pravachol or Lescol you must read this book. Most of the statin side effects I discuss are unknown to your busy doctor. Although knowledgeable about muscle and liver problems, few have heard of statin amnesia and other forms of memory dysfunction and fewer still associate hostility, aggression and profound depression as statin related. As a former astronaut, aerospace medical research scientist, flight surgeon and family doctor, I was appalled by the lack of information in the medical community on the full range of side effects of the statin drugs. This book is a comprehensive reference source and summary of side effects of statin drugs.

I have a website up and spent a couple of months researching the scam of cholesterol and statins. Graveline is possible the best book out there that isn't technical. Several friends have read his books, and like them.

Pharma has taken over the education of doctors, and this is one of their 2 biggest scams. Cholesterol is essential for life, lowering it is a way of taking a slow acting poison, like ethanol. Pharma is in the business of treating illnesses and creating markets. I call it tobacco ethics and tobacco science and it brings in a trillion dollars a year in sales. Graveline's book should wake you up, highly recommended

As a Pharmacist and someone who has had serious myopathies from statins I found Dr. Graveline's book to be very good. Anyone who thinks these drugs are without side effects is making a serious mistake and Dr Graveling is right on the money.

Two years ago, my husband suffered a major psychotic depression and almost ended his life. During the 10 years I had known him, this came as a total shock to me since I had never witnessed him acting this way before. He had always been a happy guy and never showed signs of depression. I had no idea what was happening until I spoke to a friend about his condition and she said to me "Sometimes people act erratically when they have issues with their liver". At that moment, it clicked. I connected his condition with Vytorin, the statin he was taking at the time. One known side effect is liver damage. I started researching statins online and came across Dr Graveline's website. There I read countless complaints about other people suffering from the horrible side effects of statins. Dr Graveline's website saved me since the doctors I had spoken to did not believe me when I told them that the statins may have caused my husband's depression.

I just read this book yesterday from cover to cover and I highly recommend it to all who are considering taking this evil drug. Don't do it!! The reason I bought this book is because now my husband wants to go back to taking statins again since he also feels that they did not cause the depression. I am trying to get him to read this book. I felt like the crazy one for believing that the statins caused my husband harm but not anymore. Thank you Dr Graveline!

I love this book. It has been my guide for a while, this is my second copy. I have Peripheral Neuropathy in my feet and my fingers from taking Lipitor in 1997 for 20 months. This drug was very new then and I believe doctors were unaware of the dangerous side effects this drug has. I have recently had to have my Aortic valve replaced in my heart and am pretty sure that Lipitor also caused this damage way back in 1997 and over the years my heart has got worse. If you are interested in this drug for any reason this is a great book, full of information as Dr. Graveline has also suffered from taking it.

If your physician has put you on a statin drug because it seems to be the current mindset in the medical field, you need to read as much as possible regarding the side effects that drug companies and physicians do not tell you about. Some of these side effects are subtle and creep up on you! If you're over 50, you chalk it up to "getting older." I had some muscle issues, heart palpitations, and just generally feeling sluggish as soon as 2 weeks after I went on a small dosage of Lipitor. After reading this book, I realized that the way I was feeling was not acceptable and probably due to these drugs. If you can get through the medical jargon (not so bad after you get used to it), this is a must-read if you are questioning the wisdom of being on a statin drug and the entire mindset of our medical field on the subject of high cholesterol.

I have been researching this issue for some years now and am familiar with Dr. Graveline's published works and his own side effects which are very similar to what has happened to my husband. The shame is that the AMA and more doctors are not listening to the statistics and discovering the true science that's been out there for years that cholesterol is NOT the villain that Big Pharma would have us believe. We (my husband and I) are living proof of these horrible side effects when taking the statin in the first place was not necessary. Repetitive at times ,but only to drive home his point.

This book, written by a doctor mind you (which tells me he has much to lose and little to gain by telling this story), uncovers once again a lot of the myth of statins and what they are actually doing to us. I can't help but wonder if this may be a reason for the recent rise in Alzheimer's. I know I saw a lot of these symptoms with my dad when he was on it. I began to wonder if he was even going senile. I remember how moody and irritable he was and never remembered him having such a temper. If you are into health and/ or getting the real story, READ THIS BOOK.
