I got this book because I've done Jeanette Jenkins 10 min workouts on youtube. I thought it was ok; I think it's far too narrow to be a one size fits all weight-loss plan. In fact, I think most weight-loss plans aren't one size fits all. The book came with a workout dvd which I used but I think her 10 min workouts are far more effective. The book also comes with recipes but I didn't use any of them and I'm an avid recipe cooker. The meal suggestions were not in my price range but she is the "Hollywood" trainer so...

Also, the book was published around 2007 but it feels a bit more dated then that. I'm a huge advocate of libraries and I wish I would have checked my local library before purchasing this book. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

This book was great! It was very easy to read and follow. Jeanette breaks down the science of weight loss in a way that anybody can easily understand. I also like the fact that this book comes with the work-out DVD...which I LOVE. I would consider myself a beginner when it comes to exercise. I've been doing pilates on and off for the past 5 years, but I just couldn't make myself do cardio. With this workout you get strength, endurance, flexibility, and cardio all in one. I've been doing the work-outs 6 days a week for the past week and a half. I alternate between the different circuits and flexibilty work-out. I can already see results! My body feels more lean, toned, and sculpted, and my ENERGY is through the roof. I haven't lost any lbs yet, but I can definitely see a difference in how my clothes fit. I'm now a fan of Jeanette Jenkins, and I want to buy every DVD she's ever made. :-)

Jeanette gives details on how to lose weight and I incorporate it with my diet I am already on. She gives good information and practicals and she includes a meal, exercise plan in this book. She includes a dvd in this book for the workout plan. I love Jeanette.
watching to future
The book and the DVD takes the complication out of working out and eating right. There are so many great recipes in the book that you can pick and choose whatever fits your particular palate. I work out with the DVD 4 days a week and I've been following the meal plan in the book for the past couple of months and I already see results. My stomach is flatter and my butt looks great! :). I have already recommended this to many of my friends.

This book would be great for someone that has a great deal of time on their hands to do all the things that she is telling you. In everyday life people just don't have the time for all of her "tips". Great attempt, but blahhhh!

This is an all around great work out program. I'm an experienced lifter, and I was looking for something with an all-around good program and this is it. I do have to mention that I've made many of the recipes and they are quick and easy, which is unusual for most book programs.

This book takes you to the basics. No nonsense diet plans with foods that you can find at any grocery store and easy recipes. The DVD that comes with the book features regular people participating in the workouts, not just skinny girls who are already in great shape. The book really does teach you the way to make healthy living a habit. I really enjoy both the book and the DVD.
I have looked at this book once since I purchased it. It was ok but nothing any different than any other health book that I read.
