The Sailor on the Seas of Fate is the second Elric book by Michael Moorcock. It is chronologically the third in the series (the events of The Fortress of the Pearl occur between Elric of Melniboné and Sailor on the Seas of Fate). The book is divided into three parts. The story begins with Elric lost somewhere in the Young Kingdoms and near the sea. A mysterious ship appears and he is welcomed aboard by its captain and introduced to three other powerful warriors.

Such is the case with Michael Moorcock’s brilliant, dark and foreboding, second Elric novel Sailor on the Seas of Fate. Not just building on his earlier Elric of Melniboné, but also gathering up the best of his earlier works, and tying all to his mythic and thought provoking The Eternal Champion theme.
This is the best Elric book of the series. It incorporates the other heros from Moorcock library, and puts them is a memorable adventure.
