I have read this first, and now I have to read the first one, knowing what is ahead. But I highly recommend it! Vampires!! AWESOME! These are great books! Published by Thriftbooks. com User, 12 years ago. I love vampire slayer stories. And Eternal Hunger is a great ending (or continuation) of this new series. I loved that the main love interests got together in this book.

We find out towards the end of the book how. Ash is the vampire who absolutely loves her unconditionally. There really wasn't much to write. This book literally made me want to throw it against a wall. I hated just hated the ending. All of a sudden, all is right in the world at the end.

Ok, I bought the first two books of the Candance Steele trilogy and throught they were really good. Now here is number three. Last time I read a trilogy,it had such a bad ending that the readers were majorly mad and the author wrote a fourth and better book (LJ Smith's Vampire Diaries if anyone's interested. Great series!), so it was with a lot of worry that I ordered Eternal Hunger. Story was good, characters good and loved the struggle of Candance trying to decide if she wanted to be a vampire or not. But god what a crummy ending!! If I wanted to read Romeo and Juliet bad endings, I'll read Romeo and Juliet. I hate these books that say they are romance then they give you the exact opposite ending. Sorry folks Spoiler warning sorta but there is no happy ending here. ::cries::. I am being generous about my rating since the story right up to the end was good. I was hoping Ash would become a human, or Candance becoming a full vampire or something like that. Neither one happened and I quote, the ending bombed big time. I am hopeing maybe Cameron Dean will make this into a series like I have some Trilogies evolve wonderfully into. But till then, this series goes into my 2nd hand bookstore credit box. Ugh, what a waste of 7 bucks!

Good book.

I just finished reading the third and final book in this series and I am at a loss for words. The ending is terrible! I am very disappointed and wish I never started the series to begin with, which is even more frustrating because I really liked the story as well as the characters. I couldn't put the first two books down and was so excited to start the third installment to see how the story will end. The third book was just as good, maybe even better than the first two...and then I read the last 20 pages. If you prefer your books to have a somewhat happy ending don't read this series.

I totally agree with the reviewer below, what an ending!! I'm not sure if the author will continue the storyline or not (hopefully she will). If I want to read not-so-happy endings I go and read Romeo & Juliet. But this was touted as a romance, right? So this "spiritual" happy ending didn't do if for me, sorry.

I love this series. It's fun and edgy. I can't wait for the next installment.
Plot Summary: Candace Steele dresses up like a cocktail waitress at a Las Vegas casino, but she's really undercover security. After being bitten by her ex-vampire-lover, Ash, she can now sense the undead by a cold chill running down her spine. Candace's official job is to chase vampires out of the casino; she's made it her hobby to kill them in her spare time, which isn't much, since she spends a lot of time rolling between the sheets. I wish I could say I liked her, but I don't. I swear she's bipolar and needs meds.

In the third and final installment, "Eternal Hunger," Ash's arch enemy drains Candace dry, until she's like an empty Capri Sun juice pouch. With her last breath, Candace gives Ash permission to (finally!) make her a vampire. Then she spends the rest of the book refusing to drink anyone's blood and forces Ash to become her personal bloody Big Gulp. I guess in her fight to survive, Candace conveniently forgot that pesky drinking blood thing that vampires do. Or, I'm right, and she really is bipolar. It's utterly frustrating watching her vacillation, and Ash is a freaking saint to put up with her whiny butt.

***SPOILER ALERT***
Okay, I'm not gonna say exactly what happens, but I will say that it does not end happy. For a romance fan, that's like a cold slap in the face after sticking with these characters for three books. It's up to you whether that bit of knowledge alone rules this series out.
