It is very concise, has great pictures (although I wish there were more) and makes sense to even a common lay person. This is an great dictionary. It has help me look up words, so can spell them correctly and what the mean is.

Also reflects Apgar Score, indirect measurement of blood pressure, blood components, Ponderal Index and thalidomide. Newly revised tables include those for Blood Components, Deciduous and Permanent Teeth and Desirable Weights for Men and Women. Find data on the content and chemical composition of foods. Features of this work include pronunciations, spellings, vocabulary, definitions, subtopics, etymologies, medical synoyms, words pertaining to, first aid, diseases, dietetics, drugs, nursing procedures, tabulations and "The Interpreter" - a collection of 373 questions and statements which are most often used during examination and taking the patient's history to aid in establishing diagnoses.
