Overall, my experience was great. The book came quickly. However, the quality of the book was not as great as I would have liked. It had several large creases in the cover, and the corners of the pages were not in great shape. Nothing was torn, so at least I can read everything.

This textbook has so far helped me out in my history class in college. I like the way it is organized even though other reviewers seem not to. Everything seems to fit together and those associated with authoring or editing the contents seem to know how best to explain the "key" points of (early) American history. I'm not much of a history buff (chem major), but even I can tell some things are left out of too much detail. However, I'll have to go with the notion that the authors did this on purpose to achieve the quickest and most fulfilled way to educate the readers on early American History.

This book along with a great teacher will really bring history to life, easy to read and follow without memorizing dates

It gets a little annoying due to the fact that it is not in chronological order. For example it goes from 1600 to 1620 to 1607 to 1590s to 1600. Nevertheless it is a great informative description of the past. Good for a freshman college course.

I love history. I hate this book. As another reviewer mentioned, it's not even close to chronologically organized. In fact, it's mostly a vomit pile with tiny chunks of information.

American Stories captured my imagination helping me to think through familiar themes in history. My understanding has expanded because of this careful work.
This textbook is in very good condition, I would defenitively buy more items from this byer in the future. THank you
