This easy-to-use reference helps practitioners quickly diagnose common skin disorders and determine appropriate treatment options. More than 900 full-color photographs—enlarged for greater clarity in this edition—speed diagnosis by showing the distinguishing characteristics of each disorder and providing clear comparisons between similar looking conditions. The book also includes formulary tables of leading topical and systemic agents by generic and brand name; patient handouts in English and Spanish; and step-by-step descriptions of basic dermatologic procedures.

The Third Edition features many new photographs, updated treatment sections, a new chapter on pediatric and geriatric dermatology, and many more patient handouts. The appendix on brand names of dermatologic medications in various countries now includes India and Canada.

Received book very quickly. Great book with fantastic pictures. I use it everyday in my family clinic to help look up some really interesting dermatology cases and to share information with the patients. It is a great resource for common issues. The more rare issues generally are referred out to a specialty. A good buy at a good price for me.

Very interesting factual book on skin conditions. My wife and I both have skin conditions and have found great advice contained within this book on the management of our skin problems. My wife Anne has very, very hairy arms, she looks like a small gorilla. I myself just have mild eczema.

So the book itself is a great book. Perfect for what you need to know as a med student for derm. Very comprehensive and great pictures.

BUT, the book literally fell to pieces. Chunks of pages were falling out. This happened the first night we had to read it, so its not just from wear and tear. This happened to over half of the students of my class. DO NOT buy the book online. We contacted the manufacturer and they refunded the students that got the book from the bookstore but NOT from online. It might be a different case if you buy directly from amazon but do NOT use the marketplace, because you will be stuck with the book.

I have foound that the online patient advice has helped me understand the cause and treatment of my dry and flaky skin. The text is easy to read and offers suggestions that have calmed me down about my skin problem and are very helpful.

Nice book for evaluating skin conditions. The photos are great and the info was concise and easy to understand. Would recommend.
