The London Co. was the primary organization responsible for the recorded conveyance of land in Colonial America. This book is, in my opinion, of the very few that also recognizes land patents as result of a Royal land Grant, or in my case, where my ancestor traded land in Northumberland for land in Accomack, Va. 1640. it also presents land that was purchased from the original owner. This is a well documented and indexed benchmark of early colonial planters and settlers.

A must have for my area of Virginia family history.

This is a difficult book to find. It is a very good resource for the genealogy I am doing. Though used, the book more than meets my needs. With the book, I am better able to document early Virginia immigrants in my family genealogy.

This book is intrumental in researching early land patents in Virginia. This 2004 reprint makes it possible for researchers to own these references instead of traveling to the library for them. The price is right and I recommend Amazon for their great service.
