Christian book club of america. The object of the present book is therefore to carry further the enquiry I began in World Revolution, by tracing the course of revolutionary ideas through secret societies from the earliest times, indicating the rôle of the Jews only where it is to be clearly detected, but not seeking to implicate them where good evidence is not forthcoming. For this reason I shall not base assertions on merely "anti-Semite" works, but principally on the writings of the Jews themselves.

Open subversive movements. The real jewish peril. And now before returning to that first cataclysm I have felt impelled to devote one more book to the Revolution as a whole by going this time further back into the past and attempting to trace its origins from the first century of the Christian era. For it is only by taking a general survey of the movement that it is possible to understand the causes of any particular phase of its existence.

Nesta Helen Webster (24 August 1876 – 16 May 1960) was an English conspiracy theorist, who revived theories about the Illuminati. She claimed that the secret society's members were occultists, plotting communist world domination, through a Jewish cabal, the Masons and Jesuits. She blamed the group for events including the French Revolution, 1848 Revolution, the First World War, and the Bolshevik Revolution.

Nesta Helen Webster (24 August 1876 - 16 May 1960) was a controversial historian, occultist, and author who revived conspiracy theories about the Illuminati. She argued that the secret society s members were occultists, plotting communist world domination, using the idea of a Jewish cabal, the Masons and Jesuits as a smokescreen. Interestingly it begins with the chapter on ‘The Ancient Secret Tradition’ which goes into some detail on the origins of the Talmud and Cabala; this sets the stage and the pattern for Secret Societies. There is also treatment of the Gnostics and Essenes.

Secret Societies and Subversive Movements, by Nesta H. Webster. Page 2 of 490. Germany, to say nothing of other countries-is covered with a network of these secret societies, just as the superficies of the earth is now being covered with railroads. It is of immense significance to notice with what resentment this point of view is met in certain quarters. When I first began to write on revolution a well-known London publisher said to me, "Remember that if you take an anti-revolutionary line you will have the whole.

Her Secret societies and subversive movements,, World Revolution, The plot against civilization, London 1921, and other books, trace all revolutionary upheavals through the Bavarian Illuminati to the Jews of Jesus' day. Her Surrender of an Empire, London 1931, identifies the Wafd. Her Surrender of an Empire, London 1931, identifies the Wafd, Sinn Fein, Zionism and Bolshevism as all the same threat.

Webster Nesta H. As you can comprehend from the title, the author focuses on clandestine mysterious communities. The book covers the activity of templars, freemasons, illuminates, cabalists and others in chronological. Certainly, not every secret society had such a power to control the world and politics, but this volume includes history of major ones. Written by the British patriot Nesta H. Webster, it is a fascinating reading of pre-1920s conspiracy theory. MoreLess Show More Show Less. 13. Open Subversive Movements. 15. 1. The Ancient Secret Tradition. I. This forgotten gem of a book has recently been put up on Amazon Kindle for free. I would urge history buffs to take advantage of this and read this book published nearly 100 years ago yet more relevant now than ever before. Webster’s personal writing style combined with documentation paint a picture of modern European History that is quite at odds with “standard” histories from the time of Mohamed forward.
Webster sets out to take a survey of the origins of secret societies. Interestingly it begins with the chapter on ‘The Ancient Secret Tradition’ which goes into some detail on the origins of the Talmud and Cabala; this sets the stage and the pattern for Secret Societies. There is also treatment of the Gnostics and Essenes. ‘The Revolt against Islam’ the next chapter which details the various secret societies that burrowed their way into Islamic societies only to be discovered by the Northern European Crusaders who promptly adopted many of the key features of the secret societies of the middle east.
A Depressing continuum in this history is the prevalence of a “chosenist” (my phrase) ideology through the ages. In many ways you could replace the word chosenist with the phrase ‘organized psychopaths’. Basically an “in group” decides that they are to be the masters of the universe, dare I say ‘god like’, and everyone else is just goyim/cattle/dumb masses to be used and abused as necessary.
Pre-existing secret societies are ideal breading grounds for still more secret sects and that is the story behind the Bavarian Illuminati and its role in the French Revolution and beyond. Continental Freemasonry gets tagged with being completely penetrated by other secret societies, while Ms. Webster holds out hope (in the 1920’s) that British Freemasonry can be salvaged. Also interesting was her analysis of the threat of ‘Pan-Germanism’ which today seems sadly laughable, but then (in the 1920’s) seemed more urgent. Nesta finishes up by talking about “The Real Jewish Peril” and frankly goes over the rise of Jewish Political Power and its connection to the rise of the secret societies.
This book is one of those books that if I had read in my 20’s and been able to really talk about the significance behind some of the ideas contained in it, my political journey would have been substantially different than where it ended up going. I place this book alongside Antony Sutton’s Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution for its condemnation of progressive/left ideology as a cover for a far more sinister agenda.

Very well written. A fascinating history of organizations that may have had an incredible impact throughout history that may not be remembered by many. From the Assassins of the middle east to the Bavarian Illuminati Nesta Webster goes into impressive detail to explain not only the motives that drove these movements, but also their tactics and their fates. Whether you are a conspiracy theorist or just a history buff who loves to learn about all the strange happenings throughout recorded time, this book will deliver.
grand star
A great book to learn and educate yourself on the real people who rule our nation and world. Their plans are frightening and the only way to not let yourself be sucked into their games is to wake up to the lies and books like these are exactly for that. The Author is honest and sites FACTS not theories which can sometimes be simple opinions.

Very interesting read. This is not a conspiracy theory but a history of known secret societies. A must read for all those who assume they know about who and how runs the world based on popular conspiracy books and youtube videos. This is not an easy read - the book was written in England early in the 20th century, so be ready to use dictionary because it's full of archaic words. Nevertheless, this is a very interesting and worthy of reading and re-reading work.
This book gives you an understanding of how secret societies are what they are. They don't really tell you much about what goes on behind closed doors because they are in fact secret societies. Its a great book to pick up though
