Now, for the first time in paperback, the reader can discover the hidden beauties of the Lost Books. To be found in this volume are the Apostles’ Creed, the Psalms and Odes of Solomon, and other Apocryphal writings that have become part of our religious heritage. The story of Joseph and Potiphar’s wife, of Adam and Eve, of the girlhood and betrothal of Mary, of the childhood of Jesus, are here in all the warmth, intimacy, and humanity of their first telling.

This book helps a person to see the rest of THE STORY about Jesus Christ and leaves you wondering why such a wealth of material was left out of the Bible. The story of Jesus, redemption and salvation and belief is so simple. It looks like to me the reason we have so many different denominations today is the nature of mankind to want to posess something exclusive, something that no one else knows or has, like a secret or the keys to salvation. Example: The Catholic Church leads us to believe that only through their leadership and direction can salvation be achieved.

This is great for perspective on the motivations of the characters in the bible. It's like movies: if you remove the scene that is crucial to the plot, the plot doesn't make sense. That's what the church did when they removed these books. I'd love to see them restored into a cohesive version so you can see it unfold in its' entirety.

The Baptist Church expressly teaches that there are several things a person "MUST" do to achieve salvation. The requirements for salvation are as varied and as many as the number of different Christian denominations that exist today. It is a good thing to learn everything that we can about the Christian belief, the life, death and resurection of Christ and first hand accounts need not be excluded or banned. Some of the other gospels are just different accounts of the same story as told by totally different people.

The Lost Books of the Bible give accounts of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and how she lived her entire life in service to God. They also give accounts of Jesus' childhood, what happened when Jesus faced Pilate, and what happened following his death and resurrection. The Forgotten Books of Eden explain what happened to Adam and Eve after the fall and to their children up to the time of the flood, what actually happened to Enoch, and testimonies of Joseph and his brothers. These are just a few things included in these amazing books that I believe have helped strengthen my faith! I very much recommend this set of books!!

Interesting to get another take on Adam and Eve, Mary, the mother of Jesus, and other biblical figures.

This book is very interesting. I think it requires an open mind but strong faith in what you believe.

this book is so beautiful, including protovangelon of Mary & Enoch's time in heaven....also the missing story of Adam & Eve after leaving Garden. Other books of Solomon, the female disciple Thelca...so much & wisdom discovered!!

Though I have not finished reading it yet I have found these ancient writings amazing and find myself wondering why some of them were not included in the Holy Bible. Even if these are not considered the inspired Word of God they have great value. I am enjoying reading them and find them very enlightening. I want to encourage others to read them as well in a prayerful manner.
Reading the lost books is an eye-opener for anyone who wants, "the rest of the story" of the bible. This book is the reprint of the 1929 version that went out of print for many years. The "Forgotten Books of Eden" , the second half of the book, also tells the stories of Eden that I was not aware of. It's worth your time.
