After a layover in Atlanta and a connecting flight, she began to fight the fog that had settled over her brain.

After a layover in Atlanta and a connecting flight, she began to fight the fog that had settled over her brain. Michael grabbed her carry-on bag and after they exited the flight, he led the way down. a long concourse to a long line for rental cars. Katie-eyed a shorter line. Why don't we get one from that company? Because this is where Wilhemina rented her car. If the, same sales agent is working, we might be able to find out which direction she was, headed. He shot her a curious glance. How are you feeling? She shrugged. He moved forward a few steps.

This is the first book I've read by Leanne Banks. I couldn't put it down. It was funny, sexy, and touching. This was another recommended book so I did not know what to expect. But, it was fast paced and actually a very good book. As a guy, I can tell you in all honesty I did tear up a bit. Great story and one that many in today's environment should be able to relate to. The main focus is a girl that may be considered overweight, that has a life of ridicule until she seeks and finds her true love. One that loves her for who she is!
sort of a dumb book
Great summer story. Lots of fun characters with interesting stories and locations. This is a book that you will read over and over again!
Absolutely terrible editing. The person responsible should go back to school. It's a fun story, but the editing was bad to the point of offensive.
This book was fun to read. However I was surprised at the missed spellings and actually missed words. I think who ever proof read the book did a poor job.
Great quick read and fun book. Not as good as Janet Evanovich, but still a great read.
While this story was to focus on one romantic journey, you actually get to read about two. The story of Katie and Michael held as much spotlight as the secondary story of Wilhemina and Douglas. The blend of these two stories created one decent story to read.

Not to offer spoilers, but I liked the differences between the two female characters. One being heavy-set while the other is lean. One dresses up while the other dresses down. One is desperate to find her knight in shining armor while the other one is trying to avoid finding hers.

What made this book enjoyable was how two different women were seen as something special. Most romance stories have attractive main characters with strong attractions between them, but this one made me feel that there is hope for everyone out there. Not all men are extremely dashing and not all women are perfectly shaped. What this book offered in the feel-good sense is how people look beyond the exterior and look for the heart in a person.

While there was mention of a whole lot of laughter to experience, I did not laugh as much as others. There were a few spots that had me giggling, but the laugh-out-loud moments came far later in the book. There was a fair amount of touching parts that brought tears to my eyes as well as some parts that had me thinking. All in all a decent book, but it could have had better flow to it. Of course, with two romantic stories running at the same time, it is hard to have the flow be right for every reader out there. 4 stars and worthy to recommend to a friend.
After spending her childhood living down the exploits of her sassy mother, Katie has done an "un-makeover" on herself, downplaying her beauty and feminine wiles. When her prickly and oft-married boss hires her to find a husband for his mousy daughter with a big bonus thrown in, Katie cannot resist. She needs the money to care for her deaf and motherless brother.

Michael's father lost the family fortune to bad investments and took his own life, causing his mother to go into a severe depression, and Michael was shuttled around. After his last partner cheats him out of his business and his fianc? dumps him, Michael decides that getting the security contract for Ivan Rasmussen will bring him back on top. Although he thinks that the idea to find Wilhemina Rasmussen a husband is ridiculous, he must go along with it if he wants the family business.

Katie soon discovers that finding a man for Wilhemina is going to be harder than she thought in the snobby upper crust Philadelphia society. Wilhemina is not a beauty queen, and her sense of style leaves something to be desired, particularly her penchant for tacky hats. When a scheming trust fund baby breaks her heart, Katie tells a devastated Wilhemina a story about a princess and her cowboy knight. This gets Wilhemina thinking, and faster than Michael can get Katie to let down her hair, Wilhemina has fled in the middle of the night to Texas to find her intended.

Turns out Texas society can be just as bad as Philadelphia, and once again Wilhemina has her feelings stepped on, but this time she fights back, with hilarious results. When she finally meets a nice quiet hog farmer and thinks that he might just be the one, Katie and Michael are hot on her trail to bring her back before daddy finds out. But the more time Katie and Michael spend together, the more their feelings for each other deepen, particularly as they see each other at their most vulnerable.

Will Douglas be able to accept that the eccentric woman he has just met is actually an heiress? Will Katie ever let Michael see her softer side? Banks is at her best injecting comedy into steamy romance. This time we have two great couples - one that is reluctant to commit and one that cannot wait. Throw in a gigolo, a hairless cat, and long lost family members, and you have a memorable romantic tale that will keep you rooting for both couples. While this is definitely Katie's tale, Wilhemina steals it once she gets her groove on! Followed up by "When She's Bad" and "Trouble in High Heels" featuring Katie's younger sisters.
