As was said before, "Mein Kampf" is not banned or prohibited in Germany, nor was it ever. Unfortunately this rather bad book is a relative to the Pied Piper of Hamelin. It has once already caught the attention of too many people, with well-known outcome, and perhaps it's for the better if that doesn't happen again. Even today, there are still a lot of people who will believe almost anything they're told, always willing for somebody to blame, and "Mein Kampf" could well find fertile soil in brains which are full o. .

this is a pretty good book. The views set forth in Mein Kampf are, of course, are something else entirely. it really gives a look into the mind of Hitler and his problems. the views of him are very bad though.

Mein Kampf was first published in two volumes in 1925-26 and sold between eight and nine million copies in German during Hitler's lifetime, as well as being widely translated. It is the most notorious political tract of the twentieth century. This translation by James Murphy (who worked in Goebbels's Ministry of propaganda from 1934 to 1938) is considered standard.

Mein Kampf remains necessary reading for those who seek to understand the Holocaust, for students of totalitarian psychology and for all those who care to safeguard democracy.

Bought this for my son. He's obsessed with all things WW2 related. I haven't read it, but he has. He enjoys reading other view points.
Clever
I Highly recommend it as it was clear and accurate free of outside opinions.

This is the one you’ve been waiting for. Side by side English and German, so I can both work on my German and critique the translation. Highly recommended if you want to make a real study of this work. Looking forward to Vol. 2, which I assume will follow at some point, although I have months of study here.

If you read this book with focus, objectivity, and equip yourself with the tools for critical thinking, you will gain much insight into the causes of these endless wars and social upheavals that plague the planet today.

Good luck,

Good read, would recommend. Sheds light on early 20th century European history and one man's interpretation of the first world war and the after-effects. Filled with tirades and arguments against parliamentary democracy, Jews, Communism, prostitution, race mixing, and more as well as Hitlers views on how to counter these threats to his nationalistic vision. And despite long tirades and arguments, always eventful and never boring. Some notes are included to provide basic background for readers who might not be familiar with German history and cultural references.

A great read for those who wish to understand the ideals of Adolf Hitler and National Socialism.

I was trying to decide on which of the translations to go with and I'm glad I went with this one. The book is easy to read and follow although some of the sentences do tend to run on. Definitely worth a read.
An accurate translation unlike others where there are over 1500 errors in translation plus gives foot notes to understand statements which are historical or based on German culture that would otherwise be misunderstood.
