Walks Isle of Skye (Hallewell Pocket Walking Guides). Isle of Skye Guide Book (Charles Tait Guide Books). The Isle of Skye (or Ant-Eilean Sgitheanach in its native Gaelic tongue) occupies an almost mythical place in the minds of many Scots. Romantic castles, magnificent sea-scapes, the alpine peaks of the Cuillin Ridge, marching pipe bands, scattered white crofters' cottages and a bloody history; the island has all these and more. This book features 40 moderate walks that take in much of this celebrated landscape, but reveal hidden gems too.

Isle of Skye: 40 Coast and Country Walks by Paul Webster, Helen Webster (Paperback, 2008). Other Books, Comics & Magazines. Current slide {CURRENT SLIDE} of {TOTAL SLIDES}- People who bought this also bought. Skye 2018 Pocket Map Way to Explore Skye by Collins Maps 9780008285647.

Isle of Skye 40 coast and country walks covers these, as does Ralph Storer's 50 best routes on skye and raasay. I think Storer is a v. good guide and have some of his other books too. For lower level walks I'd really recommend: The shore path from Portree along Scorrybreac, past the black rock and up the path to the Staffin Road - not difficult, just a couple of hours, but stunning scenenery. Walking to the top of Ben Tiannavaig - this is an excellent viewpoint - and gives great views down to the Cuillin and also to the coast
