Arthur Koestler is a book by Mark Levene published in 1984, a year after Arthur Koestler's suicide.
In younger adulthood, Arthur Koestler was intrepid yet corrigible in his diverse personal ventures in political activism. Ironically, Koestler himself misuses the term hierarchy throughout this book, as interchangeable with holarchy. Moreover, his subsequent intellectual pursuits seemed likewise to be extraordinary, resolute, and uninhibited. Although hardly academic in conventionality or comportment, Koestler interacted with major intellectual figures on a peer-to-peer basis, and it would seem that he contributed to such dialogues at least as much as he gained. This is quite disconcerting as the term hierarchy refers only to a very austere version of holarchy.

Janus: A Summing Up. by. Janus, like many great books, changes the way we see the world. By summing up some of his most provocative inquiries over the 20th century, Koestler gives us a glimpse of his roving, probing mind. He offers a grim, sobering perspective on the human condition and our destiny. He reveals hidden relationships between science, creativity, and humor.
Arthur Koestler he multi-levelled hierarchies of existence. Thus a man is both a unique individual but also part of a social group, which itself is a part of a larger group, and so on. Koestler shows that this polarity between the self-assertive and integrative tendencies is a universal characteristic of life.
