We were assigned this book last semester in my American history survery classes. The authors cover all of the major topics. Since I like politics, I was glad that the emphasis is more on political history then on social history.

There was no clear ideological bias. Our teacher asked us to speculate about whether we thought the authors were liberal or conservative, or something esle. But its hard to tell from the coverage in the book
